Open Source Investigation Practitioner Course

Open Source Investigation Practitioner Course (OSIP)

The world has gone online & taken its evidence with it! Investigators now need to be equally proficient working in online forums & networks as they do dealing with traditional evidence. We have recognised there is a need to train those who need to capture online evidence to make sure it is done properly & effectively.

Throughout our course, we concentrate on the fundamental questions – Is it legal? Have we followed procedure?

We take the investigator through the legal background to what can be done, how it is technically done so they understand what they are doing and then set them practical tasks to ensure they leave us with the required skills to perform everyday collection of online materials – from websites to social networks.

This course is taught by experienced open source investigators who have performed that role at an operational level over many years and trained it throughout the world to national & internationally recognised standards.

We can either train it at a pre-organised training venue or at our client’s own venue. We will provide the necessary hardware & software.

This is a three day intensive course involving both practice & theory – and is assessed.
